In particular, Long An province reached over 1,535 billion VND, increasing by 200% over the year passed.

Khanh said the main reason for this success was the increase of number of enterprises doing procedures with the unit, leading to the increase of declarations, turnover and tax.

According to statistics of Long An Customs Department, as of May 15, there were 1,326 enterprises doing procedures, increasing by 18% compared to the same period of 2018. According to the leader of Long An Customs Department, the reason for such results was the effectiveness of attracting and supporting enterprises of the units. Being in charge of a large area including three provinces: Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre with the number of enterprises doing procedures up to thousands, the work of supporting businesses was always concentrated on by Long An Customs Department. Besides that, to timely solve arising difficulties and problems that were reflected directly by the enterprises at the branches via websites and phones to facilitate enterprises in the course of implementing customs procedure; the unit also has performed processed procedures for enterprises and strived to reduce the clearance time.

To support and encourage enterprises, Long An Customs Department has held business dialogues at major Customs Branches of the units right from the beginning of the year. In 2019, in April, three major branches of Long An Customs Department including Ben Luc, Duc Hoa and My Tho, also held a dialogue with enterprises in the area. The dialogue attracted 154 enterprises, 31 problems of enterprises mainly related to the implementation of settlement report at the beginning of the year, which was answered by the Customs at the dialogue. Also at the dialogue, 46 enterprises with good achievements in tax payment and compliance with customs laws were praised and rewarded by Long An Customs Department. With many efforts of officials and units, the work of supporting enterprises of Long An Customs Department has always been highly appreciated by local leaders and enterprises. Since the beginning of the year, many enterprises that are carrying out procedures at other places have returned to Long An Customs Department to implement procedures. In particular, many solar power projects that have invested in Long An province that contributed significant for the revenue collection of Long An Customs Department.

"Besides the above reasons, a significant impact on the results of the revenue collection is the effort of the customs officials in the participation of the emulation towards the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment which was launched by Long An Customs Department. With this emulation movement, many collectives and individuals of Long An Customs Department have gotten remarkable achievements in many aspects of work including revenue collection," Khanh said.
