On June 6, Deputy Manager of Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs Branch Nguyen The Hung said that from the beginning of the crop to June 4, the branch had cleared 9,228 tons of lychee for export with a total turnover of US$5.22 million.
"Currently, the branch clears 40 to 50 trucks carrying lychees for export per day. The customs clearance is processed quickly," said the Deputy Manager. To facilitate the lychee export across the area, on May 24, the Management Board of Lao Cai Economic Zone issued Notice No. 322 on the classification of vehicles transporting fresh lychees for export across Kim Thanh II international border gate.
Accordingly, from 0:00 on May 26, the vehicle carrying fresh lychees for export to Kim Thanh II international border gate has declared to the Border Guard at No.2B to be issued an instruction to transport goods on T4 road and gather at the parking lot in front of the inter-sector checkpoint.
Representatives of fresh lychees exporters will declare to the Customs office at number 2A and carry out export procedures in the Customs control area. The Lao Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station directs the Kim Thanh Border Gate Border Guard Station to strengthen its force to guide and regulate, allowing these vehicles in the early morning hours of each day under the regulated order.
The Economic Zone Service Center ensures facilities such as checkpoints, instruction signs, environmental sanitation of wharves and yards, etc., and coordinates with border guards to classify the channel of the vehicles.
The member units managing the border gate are requested to arrange officers to be present at the working office 30 minutes before the border gate opening time to receive and process procedures and assist in quick clearance for this item at Kim Thanh II international border gate.
