Increase revenues of more than VND2 billion in August

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in August, the online supervision and on-duty force continued to implement Resolution No. 06-NQ/DU dated April 20, 2022, of the Party Committee of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on strictly implementing the Regulations of performing on duty in the Customs sector, maintaining on-duty task 24/7, inspecting shipments with suspicious signs, monitoring the implementation of inspection for overdue shipments, backlogged shipments at seaports, border gates...
Notably, the officers performing on-duty at all levels have directed the customs branch to inspect, detect and handle law violations promptly. Specifically, 316 information reported on violations has been processed, sanctioned administrative violations with a total amount of more than VND 660 million, collecting a tax of nearly VND 1.5 billion.
Some typical cases are included: an Officer performing an on-duty task of the General Department of Vietnam Customs directed the Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch (HCM City Customs Department) to inspect and sanction Q.T Co., Ltd with a total amount of nearly VND800 million (an administrative violation of VND 132.6 million and collect a tax of more than VND 663 million) related to violations in importing a shipment declared as "ceramic and porcelain ornaments used for worship".
Also, at the Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch, the unit inspected the shipment declared as heat transfer paper of S.K Import-Export Trading Co., Ltd. Then the unit discovered the enterprise declared the wrong code, and the branch sanctioned the administrative violations of VND 33.7 million and collect a tax of more than VND168.9 million.
At the local customs departments, the on-duty force of Lang Son Customs Department directed the Chi Ma Border Gate Customs Branch to inspect the shipment of D.M.D Import-Export and Trading Co., Ltd. The branch detected and sanctioned administrative violations of more than VND57 million, collecting arrears of nearly VND287 million.
