Imports and exports through Mong Cai border gate witness a surge
Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch organized a dialogue conference to listen to thoughts, aspirations, and resolve problems for businesses. |
The total import and export turnover through Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Department reached US$ 2.428 billion, a 24% increase compared to the same period in 2023, of which exports reached US$1.509.8 million and imports reached US$918.5 million.
The total number of businesses completing procedures was 1,071 (259 domestic enterprises and 812 foreign enterprises), an increase of 256 businesses compared to the same period in 2023.
State revenue at the Department reached VND1,468.8 billion, a 52% increase compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 91.8% of the assigned state budget revenue target (VND1,600 billion).
To achieve these results, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Department has paid special attention to accompanying and supporting businesses, removing difficulties, and facilitating export and import activities.
Specifically, the Department has maintained and enhanced the effectiveness of the Business Support Team (headed by the Department's leader) to guide businesses by groups of businesses and assign continuous, effective care and support to businesses.
At the same time, the Department has assigned competent officials to research new emerging issues, relevant new documents, and to promptly approach, support, and answer the inquiries of the business community; research, propose, and recommend solutions to improve policies, laws, and procedures to facilitate import and export activities through the locality."
