The volume of cargo and vehicles moving across Huu Nghi International Border Gate has been processed 24/24h.

To ensure smooth customs clearance, Huu Nghi Huu Nghi International Border Gate Customs Branch has actively arranged officers at targeting areas, and assigned officered to handle unexpected situations.

The department has made plan to coordinate with authorities such as Border Guard, Traffic Police to remotely regulate the volume of vehicles, and removed difficulties and facilitated enterprises.

In addition, the branch has cooperated with other law enforcement forces at Huu Nghi International Border Gate to exchange information with Chinese authorities to implement a unified plan to extend customs clearance time, regulate vehicles and goods volume to ensure effective import and export activities between Vietnam and China.

According to statistics, on average each day, about 700-800 vehicles are cleared at Huu Nghi International Border Gate. Currently, the law enforcement forces at the border gate has taken measures to quickly clear and prevent goods backlogs.

According to Ms. Ha Thi Kim Dung, Director of Huu Nghi Border Gate Customs Branch, goods imported and exported across Huu Nghi International Border Gate mainly are machinery and equipment, components, auto parts, CBU car, chemicals, fresh fruits. To create maximum conditions for importers and exporters in customs clearance, the branch has focused on supporting customs procedures, reviewed and advised on mechanisms, policies, and management of import-export activities.

In addition, the branch has publicized information to enterprieses and requested traders to quickly complete dossier and procedures. The customs has also closely coordinated with the Plant Quarantine agency to process procedures and facilitate enterprises.

From December 2023 until now, Huu Nghi Customs has increased customs clearance capacity for import and export goods such as shortening customs clearance time and arranging officers to perform outside the working time to ensure that 100% of legimate shipments are exported within the same day. The branch has processed customs procedures until 10 to 11 p.m. The branch has promoted the role of the help desk and supportive team to remove obstacles for enterprises within the same day.

In the first month of 2024, the branch has processed 4,142 declarations with the turnover of over US$ 198 million, collecting over VND270.4 billion.
