The Import and Export Department has recommended enterprises review contracts and legal documents concluded with foreign partners to ensure imported goods are not attached, installed and used with equipment, documents orimages violating Vietnam's sovereignty and borders.
They must strictly controll all goods before importing ortemporarily importing into Vietnamese territory, ensuring that these products are not attached, installed and use equipment, documents and images that violate Vietnam’s territorial sovereignty and borders.
For high-risk items (publications, maps, globes, display devices, software application devices, etc.), enterprises need to ask the seller for a written commitment to not attach, install or use equipment, documents orimages violating Vietnam's territorial sovereignty and borders.
When detecting goods suspected of infringing upon Vietnam's territorial sovereignty and borders, enterprises should immediately notify competent authorities (Customs, Market Surveillance) in their localities to handle the issue in a timely manner.
Recently, some enterprises have imported or temporarily imported into Vietnam items with image or map of the "nine-dash line". This is a serious act of law violation, which is strictly prohibited by law due to misrepresenting historical truths, or causing confusion about territorial sovereignty and national borders.
