How are the import and export statistics in 2019 published by the Customs sector?

Specifically, the statistical tables of imported and exported goods in the first period include the exports and the imports in the first half of a month.
The statistical tables of imported and exported goods in the second period include the imports and exports from the second half of a month.
The monthly statistical tables of imported and exported goods include imported goods, exported goods; exports of FDI businesses; imports of FDI businesses; the export and import values of provinces and cities; exports of major commodities to a number of countries and territories; imports of major commodities from a number of countries and territories.
The statistical yearbook of imported and exported goods includes the summary and detailed reports.
The statistical tables list the transportation imports and exports .
According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the information publicity schedule of the Vietnam Customs is developed annually in advance, and published to users on the General Department of Vietnam Customs’ Portal (https://www.customs.gov.vn).
After six months of the implementation, the Customs shall review the implementation progress. In circumstances for amending or supplementing, the Customs shall promptly notify to the users on the General Department of Vietnam Customs’ Portal.
The amendment of preliminary statistics in the first 6 months of 2019 shall be implemented and published at the end of September 2019, and the official statistics of 2019 will be published at the end of April 2020.
The information users shall base on the information publicity schedule of the General Department of Vietnam Customs to actively search statistics for their purposes.
Currently, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has published statistics under 3 statutes, including preliminary, adjusted and official statistics.
According to regulation, by 10 January 2019, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will publicize the preliminary assessment on the imports and exports in 2018.
According to the latest estimate of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in December 2018, the total import and export turnover of the country is estimated at US$ 42.2 billion, down 2.6% compared to the previous month. In which, the total export turnover of the country is estimated at US$ 21 billion, down 3.4%, and the total import turnover is estimated at US$ 21.2 billion, down 1.8%.

The Vietnam’s total import and export turnover in 2018 is estimated at US$ 482.23 billion, up 12.6% compared to 2107; in which the total export is estimated at US$ 244.72 billion, up 13.8%, and the total import turnover is estimated at US$ 237.51 billion, up 11.5%
Vietnam’s trade balance in December 2018 is estimated to have a trade deficit of over US$ 200 million, equivalent to 1% of the import turnover. Thus, in 2018, Vietnam's trade balance is estimated to have a trade surplus of US$ 7.21 billion which is higher than the trade surplus of 2017 (with US$ 2.11 billion).
