Hidden 2,000 packs of smuggled cigarette under passenger seat

According to information source of Customs News, on 9/6, at the Inspection Area of Integrated Control Station, competent forces inspected and detected Mr. Nguyen Long Duy (was born 86 and lived in Zone 7, Hai Yen Ward, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province) was transporting 2,000 packs of cigarette with the brand of “BLEND NO.555 GLOD”. Total value is estimated as 60 million vnd.

All of those cigarettes were hidden under backseat, the battery compartment on the driver's seat, and the bulkhead in the cargo compartment of the passenger car with license plates No.14B - 005.95.

Currently, Integrated Control Station of Km15 – Dan Tien Pier has handed over the records, subjects and all evidence to the Police Investigation Agency, Mong Cai City Police in order to continues to investigate and handle in accordance with their competence.

Earlier, in February and March of 2017, the Integrated Control Station of Km15 – Dan Tien Pier discovered and seized 3 cases of transporting 47,500 packets of foreign cigarettes. In all three cases, Mong Cai City Police has issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case.
