Analysis of the HCM City Customs Department showed that the budget collection in the final week of November 2017 was very low due to the great decrease in import duty.
This situation makes the budget collection in December 2017 of the HCMC Customs Department more and more difficult. According to calculations, in December 2017, the Department must collect 12,400 billion VND to complete the target of 109,000 billion
As a result, the HCM City Customs Department has to earn more than 590 billion VND per day, while in November 2017, it earned only 430 billion VND per day.

At present, 4 units with big revenues including Saigon Port Zone 1 Customs Branch; Customs Department of investment management; Hiep Phuoc port Customs Branch and Saigon Port Zone 3 Customs Branch have budget revenues ranging from 86% -88% of the scheduled targets. Because of these challenges, the HCMC Customs Department is forcefully competing to reach the 2017 target of 109 billion VND.
