HCM City: Nearly 100 customs broker agents violated regulation on reporting

According to HCM City, under Clause 9a, Article 13 of Circular 12/2015/TT-BTC dated January 30, 2015, amended at Clause 9 Article 1 of Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC dated April 16, 2019, of the Ministry of Finance stipulates the responsibilities of customs broker agents: Periodically (on the 5th date of the first month of a quarter) make reports on the operation of customs brokerage agents using the form No. 10 enclosed herewith and send them to the Customs Departments of provinces and report other necessary information serving the customs management at the request of the customs office issued together with Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC.
Through reviewing and monitoring the activities of customs broker agents in the area, HCM City Customs Department discovered that 98 enterprises submitted their business operation reports on time in three consecutive periods.
Based on the above provisions, a customs broker agent will be suspended from operation if it fails to comply with the reporting regime or does not comply with the reporting regime, provides insufficient content or fails to meet the deadline with the customs authority as prescribed in Article 13 of this Circular for three consecutive times.
HCM City Customs Department has reported the list of violating customs broker agents to the General Department of Vietnam Customs for consideration and handling following regulations.
