According to HCM City Customs Department, as of September 15, the result of revenue collection hit VND 83,415.4 billion, equaling 77.2% of the ordinance estimate (VND 108,000 billion) and reaching 73.9% of the striving target (VND 112,900 billion).
With the above results, it has increased by 19.2% compared to the same period in 2020 (making for an absolute increase of VND 13,400 billion).
However, according to HCM City Customs Department, revenue collection in the last months of 2021 was very difficult, because imported goods through HCM City border gates have decreased sharply in the past two months.
Groups of commodities experienced a decrease in import turnover compared to the same period in 2020 fall into several groups of imported goods with high tariff rates (subject to special consumption tax, anti-dumping tax, safeguarding duties, etc.). Hence, it had a direct impact on revenue collection.
To fulfill the target of revenue collection, the leaders of the HCM City Customs Department directed the units to continue implementing solutions to collect revenue collection.
At the same time, promoting the implementation of solutions to help the business community to increase exports and imports during the period of production recovery.
