Hanoi Customs Department said the total number of enterprises doing procedures in the first six months of the year was nearly 1,243 enterprises, of that 146 were new. This is one of the outstanding results in deploying solutions for developing Customs - Business partnerships by the unit.
According to Hanoi Customs Department, the development of Customs – business partnerships has been brought about by propaganda information; support for businesses; consultations; and cooperative activities with the business community.
To deploy solutions of supporting businesses specifically and timely, the unit has listed key enterprises, contributing a large amount of revenue in the area (100 enterprises) and assigned the branches to regurlarly exchange, supporting customs procedures, guiding goods management policies, tax policies for enterprises with large revenues, and large turnover at the department and at branches.
For the enterprises who have done customs procedures for the first time, the customs branches will arrange customs officials with professional skills to check the records and support the enterprises to declare. At the same time, collecting and updating information of the enterprises via information paper is important.
In addition, supporting and improving the sense of law compliance are being implemented by units by regularly instructing enterprises on risk warning indicators; organising business conferences to answer enterprises' problems and information on compliance assessment conditions; disseminating new documents; setting up teams to solve problems at the branches; and instructing enterprises that newly come to customs branches to do procedures.
