VCN – By the end of August, the revenue collected by Hai Phong Customs Department sees a year-on-year increase and reaches about 73% of the target for the whole year.

In August, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND6,858.5 billion, decreasing by VND63.7 billion or 0.9% month-on-month. The revenue collected in Hai Phong city rose 1.9% or VND 110.6 billion to VND6,064.6 billion compared to the previous month; the revenue collected in Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Thai Binh decreased by 18% or VND174.3 billion to VND793.9 billion.

In August, Hai Phong Customs Department processed 129,549 import declarations and 119,947 export declarations.

In the month, the total trade in goods processed by Hai Phong Customs Department reached US$12.75 billion, up 4.08% month-on-month and 25.2% year-on-year.

The export turnover reached US$6.74 billion, up 9.87% month-on-month, and 27.7% year-on-year, the taxable export turnover reached US$30.87million, up 11.65% month-on-month and down 11.7% year-on-year.

The import turnover gained US$6 billion, down 1.73% month-on-month, up 22.6% year-on-year. The taxable import turnover reached about US$ 2.2 billion, down 4.21% month-on-month, up 24.5% year-on-year.

In the first eight months of the year, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND 48,351.4 billion, meeting 72.7% of the annual estimate, up 12.9% over the same period in 2023. Of which, Hai Phong area collected VND 42,041.6 billion, meeting 71.5%, up 12%; three provinces of Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Thai Binh collected VND 6,309.8 billion, meeting 82.1%, up 19%.
