Hai Phong Customs collected nearly 4,780 billion VND in August

According to the Hai Phong Customs Department, in August, the total revenue reached 4,779,502 billion VND.
This is considered as the highest revenue in a month since the beginning of 2018 in Hai Phong Customs Department, because the average revenue of the first 7 months only reached 4,000 billion per month.

In that, the import turnover of automobiles in August reached more than $US 90 million, increased by 84.7% over August in 2017; machinery and equipment reached nearly $US 454 million, increased by 20.1%; iron and steel reached $US 235.54 million, increased by 11.8%.
Generally, the import turnover with taxes in Hai Phong Customs Department in August reached nearly $US 1,577 billion, increased by 16.6% compared with August in 2017.
From the beginning of 2018 to the end of August, the whole Department collected 32,518,620 billion VND, reaching 64.97% compared to the target of appropriation assigned by the Ministry of Finance (50,050 billion VND), equivalent to 64.21% compared with assigned target by the General Department of Vietnam Customs (50,640 billion VND).
Thus, in order to complete the estimate norm, in the last four months of the year, Hai Phong Customs Department should collect 17,531.38 billion VND, corresponding to each month having to reach 4,382.845 billion VND.
On the other hand, in order to complete the target, the unit is expected to collect 18,121.38 billion VND, equivalent to 4,530,345 VND billion per month till the end of 2018.
Among 9 customs branches (border gates and outside border gates) under Hai Phong Customs Department, there are 8 units that reached collection totals from 1,000 billion or over.
Some units have contributed large amounts of revenue, such as Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch reached 8,614 billion VND; Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch reached nearly 7,790 billion VND; Dinh Vu Port Customs Branch reached 4,206 billion VND.
Meanwhile, the Branch that had the lowest revenue was Export processing and Industrial Park Customs Branch with the result of 767 billion VND.
