General Department of Vietnam Customs launch the movement of patriotic emulation in 2020 – 2025

This showed the determination of Customs officials and employees in emulation, getting achievements to celebrate major national holidays and striving to complete political tasks.

The movement of patriotic emulation of the General Department of Vietnam Customs for 2021 - 2025 has the theme: "Solidarity - Discipline - Innovation - Creation, emulating to build modern and professional Vietnam Customs, contributing to the implementation of the political mission of the 5-year period 2021 - 2025”.

With the goal of customs officials and employees of the General Department of Vietnam Customs being united, unanimous, creative and determined to build a modern, professional Vietnam Customs, operating effectively based on law compliance, applying the scientific and technological achievements of the 4th industrial revolution, contributing to improving the business environment, facilitating commercial activities, enhancing national competitiveness, ensuring social security and safety and protecting the interests of the country; striving to implement political tasks in 2020 and 2021 - 2025.

Specific tasks and targets to be implemented include:

Firstly, organising the implementation of the movement of emulation with rich and various forms; to associate the movement of patriotic emulation with the promotion of "study and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh" and the movements launched by the Party, State and Government in 2020-2025.

Secondly, leaders, committees and Party members have to take the lead in implementing seven exemplary contents (political ideology, morality, lifestyle, manners; self-criticism, criticism; relations with the people; responsibility at work; sense of discipline and internal solidarity) in accordance with Regulations No. 101 - QD/TW dated June 7, 2012, regulation No. 08-QD/TW dated October 25, 2018 of the Central Committee stipulating the responsibility for setting an example of officials and Party members.

Thirdly, striving to 2025, complete building an e-customs authority unified with the e-government structure; applying the achievements of the industrial revolution 4.0 in customs management.

Fourth, striving to complete the task of State revenue collection assigned by the National Assembly and Government and determining to achieve the annual target assigned by the Ministry of Finance. Striving to reach 100% of State revenues collecting through electronic tax collection and customs clearance 24/7. Timely publicise tax debt enterprises, cut tax arrears, avoid arising new debts, not let debt the following year be higher than the previous year.

Fifthly, strengthen customs enforcement, anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods under the direction of the Government; not let the situation of organisations and smuggling groups happen within the scope and areas managed by Customs.

Sixth, continuing to study the organisational structure arrangement, streamlining payrolls, determine job positions and rank structure with the use and management of payrolls of customs officials and public employees; strengthening administrative discipline and discipline for customs officials and public employees; strengthening control of the power and responsibility of the head of the unit in public service execution; preventing running job positions.

Seventh, concentrating on fostering, building and replicating typical practices, examples of good people and good deeds. Praising to honour and promptly reward collectives and individuals who have achieved a lot in emulation movements. Performing synchronous implementation of all four stages: "Discovery - Fostering - Summary - Advanced typical replication".

To effectively implement the emulation movement in 2021 - 2025, the General Department of Vietnam Customs called on all customs officials, employees and workers to unite, exemplify, maintain discipline, join forces, unanimously and overcome difficulties and challenges. They are determined to successfully complete the political tasks in 2021 - 2025, make many achievements towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Customs.
