General Department of Vietnam Customs: Asanzo Company showed signs of tax evasion

The information was released by the Head of the IPR Protection Enforcement Unit (Unit 4, Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department, General Department of Vietnam Customs) at a press conference on the results of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods in the third quarter of 2019 organized by the Permanent Office of Steering Committee 389 this afternoon (October 24).
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Ba, the case is attracting special attention of the public. Up to now, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has established and identified two signs of violations by Asanzo Group Joint Stock Company.
Asanzo Group Joint Stock Company showed signs of infringing industrial property on trademarks and tax evasion.
Answering the reporter's question, Mr. Ba said: “According to the plan, in the early days of next week, as the assigned authority, the Ministry of Finance (General Department of Vietnam Customs) would hold an interdisciplinary meeting with relevant ministries and sectors such as: Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), to unify and finalize the report to sent to Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh - Director of National Steering Committee 389.”
Next, the Customs authority would hold a press conference to provide specific information on the evidence and documents that have been collected.
