Four groups of commodities reach high revenue at Quang Ninh Customs

In the first half of 2020, Quang Ninh Customs collected VND 5,852 billion into State revenue, reaching 62% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (VND 9,500 billion); reaching 53% of the administrative target assigned by the provincial People’s Committee (VND 11,000 billion).
In particular, export duty reached VND 509 billion; import duty reached VND 1,254 billion; excise taxes reached VND 284 billion; VAT tax reached VND 3,613 billion and environmental protection tax hit VND 181 billion.
There are four main groups of commodities that contribute greatly to the state revenue at Quang Ninh Customs Department including petroleum, coal and raw materials for manufacturing animal feed and vegetable oil, making up 74% of total revenue.
Imported petroleum contributed VND 1,500 billion, reaching 82% in the same period of 2019; exported coal contributed VND 111.7 billion, reaching 104% from the same period in 2019; imported coal reached VND 2,147 billion, hitting 171% over the same period in 2019; raw materials for manufacturing imported animal feed reached VND 439 billion, 88% over the same period in 2019 and raw materials for manufacturing vegetable oil hit VND 134 billion, reaching 158% over the same period in 2019.
Recently, Quang Ninh Customs issued a decision to assign targets of revenue collection and tax debt collection in 2020, developing scenarios and revenue management plans in 2020.
At the same time, the unit organised a conference of deploying the collection of import and export tax in 2020; deploying the electronic tax payment programme from the enterprise’s collection payment and implementing indicators to evaluate activities in import and export duty.
In addition, organising working groups to meet and support import-export enterprises; reviewed and established the list of 83 enterprises in the province, assigned to six customs branches to meet, accompany, support to solve problems, attracting enterprises to come for import and export procedures through the locality.
