Eight new drugs substances detected for first time in Vietnam

VCN – The Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department has alerted its subordinate units and local customs departments about eight drugs substances detected for first time in Vietnam.

Eight new drugs substances detected for first time in Vietnam

The eight new drugs substances include 1eP-LDS, 2-FMA, 3-FEA, 3-MMC, MDMB-4en-PINACA, ADB-BUTINACA, 4F-MDMB-BUTICA and 4F-ABUTINACA.

Although these drugs have not been listed among drug control in Vietnam, they have been included in the list of drugs control in some countries.

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, this is a loophole for smugglers to illegal transport and trafficking new drugs substances, causing difficulties in drug prevention and control.

Through international cooperation, Japan Customs notified it has seized some goods containing MDMB-4en-PINACA, ADB-BUTINACA but they are declared as cigarettes and transported via express delivery service between Vietnam and Japan, the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department said.

The department informed local customs department and units under the Customs Information Technology and Statistics Department the images of these substances.

The Institute of Criminal Science (C09, Ministry of Public Security) has been asked to verify these substances.

The Ministry of Public Security proposed adding the eight substances into the list of drug control in Vietnam.
