Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue: Continue arranging resources to complete connection of 63 procedures on the National Single Window.

This was the directive of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the National Steering Committee on ASEAN Single Window (ASW), National Single Window and Trade Facilitation (1899 Committee) at the sixth meeting on summary of the work in 2019 and deploying tasks in 2020 of the 1899 Committee on February 6.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue appreciated the efforts of the Permanent Agency of the 1899 Committee - Ministry of Finance (General Department of Vietnam Customs).
In 2019, the signing of the Customs Agreement between the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the US Secretary of Homeland Security helped promote trade and investment between Vietnam and the US. The Deputy Prime Minister recorded the efforts of ministries and sectors. Accordingly, the specialised inspection procedures with very large workloads.
For example, reviews of the issuance of legal documents were carried out promptly and effectively; the promotion of socialisation on specialised inspection is the right direction welcomed by enterprises, in line with international practices; through the investment in centres, laboratories, and inspection centres, it has helped specialised inspection activities to operate smoothly.
Besides that, investment in developing infrastructure was also considered an investment in information technology infrastructure; connections and information sharing between management agencies are smoother.
Regarding the ASW, Vietnam has connected with many countries inside and outside ASEAN, and is expected to connect with the Philippines in the first quarter of 2020.
The NSW has already connected 188 procedures, with 2.8 million dossiers of 35,000 businesses. This has demonstrated the great efforts of ministries and sectors.
In 2020, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue requested ministries and sectors continue promoting the achievements and speeding up the completion of outstanding jobs. In particular, focusing and allocating human resources to complete the connection of 63 administrative procedures.
They should also review specialised inspection procedures, avoid overlapping, further promote socialisation, coordinate and solve problems to improve competitiveness.
The Ministry of Finance (General Department of Vietnam Customs) should speed up the completion of two schemes: Piloting guarantee for clearance and expanding quality inspection of import and export goods; complete and submit to the Prime Minister for approval the implementation plan of Decree 85 effective from 1/1/2020.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance (General Department of Vietnam Customs) consolidate the opinions of the ministries and sectors to finalise the report for sending to the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the 1899 Committee and other ministries and sectors.
