VCN- On the afternoon of February 28, 2017, Customs detected a shipment including 4 packages with a total weight of 322kg, which was declared as stationery but contained pangolin scales.

Implementing the direction, the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department - under the General Department of Vietnam Customs (the Northern Anti-Smuggling Enforcement Unit (Unit 1), and the Information Collection and Analysis Division (Division 2), and the Online Customs Supervision Division (Division 3) collaborated with the Hanoi Customs Department (the Customs Enforcement Team and Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch) under the supervision of the delegation of the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam to inspect the shipment under Bill of lading No. 176-67987684 from Nigeria to Noibai International Airport on February 24, 2017.

Inspection results, the functional force detected the shipment under Bill of lading 176-67987684 including 4 packages of pangolin scales.
