Da Nang Customs: Handling procedures complying with regulations, do not ask for more documents

This was one of targets set by Da Nang Customs Department to implement Decree 02/NQ-CP of the Government about continuing to implement tasks and solutions improving the business environment and enhancing national competitiveness in 2020.
The implementation plan also focuses on guidance for reducing paperwork, time reduction and cost reduction in the implementation of administrative procedures in import and export; ensure publicity, transparency and enhance responsibilities of customs officials in task performance; continue to coordinate with relevant agencies on specialised inspection, implement management principles on the basis of risk assessment, widely apply international practices, and transfer basic to post audit.
Besides that, continue to apply IT in industrial revolution 4.0 to manage, connect and share information between agencies, management organisations, enterprises operating warehouses, yards and ports with customs authorities; apply online public services at level 4.
Da Nang Customs Department has continued to direct its units to support and remove difficulties for enterprises and production and business activities contribute to improve the business environment.
To implement the solutions, Da Nang Customs Department directed units to focus on four solutions. In particular, focusing on improving the customs law system through proposing to improve the customs law system from practice. Besides that, the units should promote compliance with customs laws; concentrating on regularly organising workshops to enhance professional skills for customs officials; propaganda and training for businesses.
Request the units handle administrative procedures in accordance with regulations, do not require additional documents, papers, documents outside regulations, especially do not collect customs fees in contravention of regulations.
The next solution to be implemented is to complete the National Single Window as well as the ASEAN Single Window and to continue to implement all administrative procedures of the ministries and sectors involved in management of import and export goods and transit goods; people and vehicles on entry and exit, transit via the National Single Window
Besides that, improving efficiency of specialised inspection of import and export goods. Coordinating with specialised inspection authorities and relevant units to perform specialised inspection activities and promptly solve problems arising in the implementation process under their jurisdiction or propose to competent authorities to correct any inadequacies.
To deploy the tasks, Da Nang Customs Department directed its units to focus on solutions to strengthen its experts. Continuing to train and improve quality of customs officials; upholding the spirit and attitude of serving the people; strengthen discipline.
