Customs seizes 3,500 liters of diesel oil with unknown origin

In the afternoon of July 30, while implementing patrol and inspection at Van Gia port area, hearing from locals about a person who was using fishing ships to transport diesel oil from Van Don, Cam Pha to Mui Ngoc, Binh Ngoc, Mong Cai for consumption.
After conforming the information, at 19 h30 on the same day, Van Gia Port Customs Branch co-ordinated with Customs Enforcement Team No.2 (Quang Ninh Customs Department) accessed and inspected ship QN 3095 in Cong Cach sea area of Vinh Thuc commune, Mong Cai, Quang Ninh. The boat was en route from Van Don to Mui Ngoc driven by Mr. Le Sy Hai, born in 1977 (address at zone 8, Phong Hai, Quang Yen, Quang Ninh).
During the inspection, the functional forces found on ship QN 3095 about 3,500 liters of diesel oil without invoices or documents proving valid origin of the consignment.
After that, Van Gia Port Customs Branch and the Customs Enforcement Team No.2 impounded the vessel and evidence at Van Gia Port to clarify and handle as prescribed.
