VCN – The Anti-smuggling Enforcement Unit in the north (Unit 1) – The Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs) coordinated to detect and seize 6 cargo trucks transporting violated goods from Lang Son border area to inland.

By implementing peak season anti-smuggling plan before and after Lunar New Year 2018, in the early morning of 29/12, at the area of Lang Son and Thai Nguyen provinces, the anti-smuggling enforcement unit in the north (unit 1) - The Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs) coordinated with other competent forces including: Traffic Police Department (C67), Criminal Investigation Department on drug (C47), Hung Yen Market Management Branch, PC46, and Hung Yen Police, together discovered 6 cargo trucks transporting violated goods from border area of Lang Son to inland.
Through the observation of Customs News’ reporter at the scene, all 6 trucks had a full load of cargo in cartons. Notably, the above trucks included 5 trucks and 1 passenger car which was modified for transporting goods.
Also, in the morning of 29/12, at the headquarters of Market Management Unit 11 - Hung Yen Market Management Branch, the competent force conducted an inspection of the vehicles.
At the primary inspection, the competent forces discovered all kinds of men and women’s shoes, sweaters, led light bulbs, school supplies, all made in China. However, the shoe products’ labels were written in Vietnamese and even printed as “Made in Vietnam”.
Currently, the competent forces are conducting physical inspection of the remaining trucks in order to collect evidence for clarification.
