Customs sector increase revenue by 1,727 billion VND from “post clearance audit”

The above tax amount came from 6,097 cases of post clearance audit conducted by customs authorities, in that 928 cases were conducted at customs declarants’ offices (achieving 73% of 2018 targets) and 5,129 cases were conducted at customs offices.
In recent times, the customs forces have concentrated on conducting post clearance at the customs declarants’ offices, collected information, analyzed the risks, inspected and assessed compliance with laws for enterprises and big corporations; Products, commodities, groups of high risk items such as scrap, coated steel sheet, colored steel sheet...
At the same time, promoting the operation of post clearance audit in the customs branches, from which focusing on information evaluation, risk analysis for goods shipments in green channel with sign of high risk, suspicious shipments about code number, price, C/O...; Focusing on the work of post clearance audit on valuation, and by ensuring not to miss suspected low value shipments.
Particularly in the period from 16/9 to 15/10/2018, the whole sector has conducted 560 cases of post clearance audit, in that 118 cases conducted in the headquarters of the customs declarants, 442 cases at the headquarters of customs authorities.
As a result, the customs forces set and fined 221.5 billion VND and collected 164.4 billion VND into State Budget.
