Customs sector has collected VND 300 trillion to state budget in 9 months

Specifically, in September, the total revenue of the entire Customs sector amounted to VND 31.126 trillion, down 12.4% compared to the previous month.
However, cumulatively for 9 months, the revenue collection results of the Customs sector still increased significantly compared to the same period in 2023, reaching VND 306.312 trillion, equivalent to 81.7% of the annual assigned target, rising 13.5% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Regarding import and export activities, the total import and export turnover in September reached US$ 65.81 billion, reducing 8% (equivalent to a decrease of US$ 5.72 billion) compared to the previous month. In particular, exports reached US$ 34.05 billion, down 9.9% (equivalent to a decrease of US$ 3.74 billion), and imports reached US$ 31.76 billion, decreasing 5.9% (equivalent to a drop of US$ 1.98 billion). The trade balance in September experienced a surplus of US$ 2.29 billion.
For the first 9 months, the total import and export turnover of the whole country reached US$ 578.47 billion, climbing 16.3% (equivalent to an increase of US$ 81.09 billion) compared to the same period in the previous year. In particular, exports reached US$ 299.63 billion, growing 15.4% (equivalent to a rise of US$ 39.91 billion), and imports reached US$ 278.84 billion, rising 17.3% (equivalent to a growth of US$ 41.18 billion).
At the end of September 2024, Vietnam witnessed a trade surplus of US$ 20.79 billion.
