Customs Newspaper and Ha Tinh Customs Department sign Coordination Regulation

VCN - On March 24, 2017, at the headquarters of Ha Tinh Customs Department, the signing ceremony on the Coordination Regulation between Ha Tinh Customs Department and the Customs Newspaper was held to further enhance the coordination of information and propaganda between the two units.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department Luong Truong Tho said that in the past years, the Customs Newspaper sent correspondents to study the operational activity at Ha Tinh Customs Department on average 3 to 5 times every year. The information in the Customs Newspaper helped the Party level and leaders of Ha Tinh Customs Department to guide and direct and promote the advantages and overcome difficulties and obstacles in practice.

With the signing of this Coordination Regulation, Ha Tinh Customs and the Customs Newspaper will further collaborate and better publicize and propagate on the basis of abiding by the policies and laws of the Party and the State, and Customs’ regulations and the functions, duties and competence of each unit. This coordination will promote the synergy and support each other to contribute to complete the political tasks of both parties.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Editor-in-Chief of Customs Newspaper Vu Thi Anh Hong said that the signing of the Coordination Regulation of information and propaganda with the Ha Tinh Customs Department is part of the plan to improve the media efficiency of the Customs sector under the direction of the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, and also originated from the actual demands of the Ha Tinh Customs Department in image promotion, media crisis management, as well as training on press and media.

The Editor-in-Chief also affirmed that the signing of the Regulation on coordination between the two units will bring many benefits on information and communication and contribute to the successful fulfillment of the political tasks and the image promotion of Vietnam Customs.

On the same day, the Customs Newspaper also held training on media and press operation for 45 Customs officers who are the leaders of units under the Ha Tinh Customs Department and officials directly working for the propaganda of units. The content of the training included 3 topics: communication and response skills with the Press on legal issues relating to statements and information provision to the Press, and the responsibility of information publicity of the State authority and limited information publicity of the Press; writing and editorial skills on news and articles on the website and provision of information to the Press. Overview of media crisis management and some specific situations on handling a media crisis and how to handle hot issues relating to the Press.

At the training, Customs officers discussed, practiced and exchanged experiences and practical situations in the press and media work and built the image of the Customs.

In 2016, the Ha Tinh Customs Department received and worked with 37 delegations (teams, groups) of reporters and radio (through the Office of the Department); and co-ordinated to publish more than 300 news items, articles and reports on the operations of Ha Tinh Customs Department on central, local and national newspapers and broadcasting and publishing nearly 800 information pieces, articles, legal documents, and consultation procedures on the website of the Ha Tinh Customs Department.
