Customs Department and Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City build scheme of anti-losses of tax revenues

Previously, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang had a working day with the units of Ho Chi Minh City Finance sector and relevant units to discuss solutions of losses of Budget revenues and transfer pricing.

From the directions of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party Permanent Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee also requested Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department to continue to examine the obstacles and shortcomings in the legal implementation on specialized inspections for exports and imports to propose to the competent authorities to adjust and supplement accordingly, and organize and reasonably utilise the sector’s personnel apparatus

In the field of Tax, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee directed the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department to collaborate with the People's Committees of districts to build the plan to deploy the collection at the beginning of the year with determination to complete the State revenues collection target for 2017 of over 5% of estimate under the ordinance.

Besides, monitoring the economic development in each field and sector, the results of investment performance and business and production and collection and payment possibilities to budget revenues; strengthening the promotion and support for taxpayers in all units, ensuring the action guidelines of the Tax sector "transparency, professionalism, integrity, innovation" into practical application; and implementing synchronously electronic transactions with taxpayers.

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee also requires the Customs Department to encourage taxpayers to fully and correctly the obligations of Tax policy; enhance business dialogue and promote solutions to support individual business households on Tax procedures, tax reporting, and labor registration, to help individual business households to be enterprises and change the model of presumptive tax which is applicable to business households in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the first quarter of 2017, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department needs to change the current model of presumptive tax for business households and small businesses in the three main markets of the City.
