Continuing to raze many transnational drug cases

The subjects and synthetic drugs in the case that Long Sap Customs participated to seize

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in February, illegal transport of drugs across borders has continued developing complicatedly.

Customs authorities have participated in the seizure of many drug-related cases, including a number of major cases with the main exhibits synthetic drugs (MDMA type), heroin and marijuana.

Some typical cases were Long Sap Customs Branch (Dien Bien Customs Department) coordinated with Long Sap Border Station; Anti-drug and Crime Prevention (Border Defense Force of Son La Province); Moc Chau district police (Son La province) found two people who illegally transported drugs across the border on February 12. The exhibits included three bricks of heroin; 200 grams of white powder (suspected to be heroin) and 200 tablets (ecstasy).

Also, Cau Treo Customs Branch (Ha Tinh Customs Department) coordinated with Ha Tinh Border Defense Force to arrest one person of Lao nationality who illegally transported drugs across border. The exhibits were 36,000 tablets of synthetic drugs.

Generally, in February, the whole Customs sector worked to seize a total of 764 cases of violations and value of infringing goods was estimated at VND 43,729 billion; revenue collection was VND 6,174 billion, customs authorities have prosecuted two cases; transfering to other authorities to propose for prosecution of nine cases.
