Coast Guard: Seize a ship transporting illegally 70,000 liters of D.O oil on the sea

At 12:45 PM on 19/3, at a sea area near Con Dao island about 25 nautical miles from the southeast, the working force discovered and seized the ship BV 7876TS while was carrying illegal DO oil.

At the time of inspection, the vessel BV 7876TS was manned by 4 crew members and captain, Mr. Ngo Minh Trung (born 1978, lives in Tan Long, My Tho, Tien Giang). According to the captain’s original testimony, the ship was transporting about 70,000 liters of D.O oil, but he could not present legal invoices for proving the source of the oil.

In particular, the ship was not registered and the crew members did not have enough professional certificates.

Currently, the working group has made a written record of the administrative violation, temporarily seized the evidence and vessel for investigation, verification, clarification and handling in accordance with regulations.
