Certifying Authorized Economic Operators help enterprises build confidence to integrate

Daikin Vietnam is a foreign investment capital company formerly known as Viet Kim Company which was established in 1995, specializing in distributing Daikin air conditioning products in Vietnam.

In October,2008, the Viet Kim Company became an official member of the Daikin Group. In 2015, the Viet Kim Company changed its name to Daikin Air Conditioning (Daikin Vietnam). As an affiliate of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of air conditioning equipment, Daikin Vietnam becomes a trustworthy supplier providing air quality and comfort to a wide range of customers’ living in Vietnam.

By establishing its network nationwide, Daikin Vietnam offers not only sales but also all types of after sales services ranging from technical advice to repair and maintenance service for all products distributed within the country. In the 3 consecutive years 2013, 2014,2015 Daikin Vietnam was listed in the Top 500 Largest Vietnamese Enterprises and was listed in Top 100 Trusted Branches. Daikin Vietnam is also apioneer in implementing national rules on energy efficiency conducted by the Government.In 2015 and 2016, Daikin Vietnam established its branches in Hai Phong and Can Tho aimed at serving the expanded market. Currently, outside of the main office in Ho Chi Minh City, Daikin Vietnam has 4 branches in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Can Tho.

On average, each month Daikin Vietnam opens about 100 Customs declarations for imported goods. In the first 9 months of 2016, Daikin Vietnam imported goods with a turn-over of $US 155 million and paid tax of over 1,700 billion vnd. The Goods imported for distribution in the Vietnam market are: Residential air conditioners (wall-mounted air conditioners, multi air conditioners, air purifiers); Commercial use air conditioners (Skyair for small buildings such as: Restaurants, coffee shops); Central air conditioners VRV (for large buildings such asoffice buildings, hotels, commercial centers, etc); Packaged air conditioners (for workshops) and Applied air conditioners (for large buildings).

The Investment and Processing Customs Branch-Ho Chi Minh Customs Branch said, Daikin Vietnam is an enterprise which has a huge number of imported goods but it always complies well with the provisions of the law and Customs rules, and it is highly appreciated by the Customs.

The Authorized Economic Operator System has applied in many countries of the world, Customs certified Authorized Economic Operators is aimed at confirming and empowering the enterprise. Currently, Customs has decided to recognize 54 Authorized Economic Operators, there are 9 enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. Authorized Economic Operators which are recognized not only receive the priority mode related to Customs procedures in the domestic import and export activities but it also enhances their reputation when goods are exported overseas.

Ms Ly Thi Phuong Trang, the General Director of Daikin Vietnam said, Vietnam is deeply integrating with the economy of the world, the company has been certified by the competent authority as an Authorized Economic Operator and receives priority treatment in import and export activities and trade aimed at preparing for the enterprise confidence in integration.To be certified as an Authorized Economic Operator, enterprises commit to always comply with the provisions of Vietnam Law in response to the demonstrated trust of competent authorities and priority treatment for enterprises.

Besides, the product line of Center air conditioners which are used for high buildings also being focused on the many new and specialized high tech products of Daikin which meet all the demands for customers on air conditioners.
