Can Tho Customs finish revenue collection earlier

According to a report from the Can Tho Customs Department, from the beginning of 2024 to date, export-import activities under the unit's management have recorded growth in both the number of businesses carrying out procedures, the number of declarations, and export-import turnover.
In this context, the unit has focused on implementing many activities to support businesses and promote production, business, and export-import activities.
As a result, the total number of businesses carrying out procedures at the unit reached 340, an increase of 12 businesses compared to the same period in 2023.
The number of export and import declarations reached 107,475, a rise of 15%. Export-import turnover reached nearly $4.8 billion, a growth of 13%.
Of which, the main export commodities include rice, fish oil, fishmeal, acid oil, fish oil, vegetable oil, tobacco, steel, fertilizer, agricultural products, and processed seafood.
The main import commodities are FO oil, wood, gypsum, paper, iron and steel scrap, pharmaceutical raw materials, auto electrical system components, telecommunications equipment, and coal.
In addition, Can Tho Customs has also processed procedures for 272 sea transport vessels entering and exiting with 4,330 crew members; 145 aircraft entering and exiting with a total of nearly 20,200 passengers and crew members.
Regarding tax management, the total state revenue up to October 13 has reached over VND 2,234 billion, reaching nearly 102% of the planned target assigned for 2024 of VND 2,195.5 billion and increasing by 8.37% compared to the same period last year.
Can Tho Customs said that revenue from coal, machinery and equipment, and plastic raw materials has increased compared to the same period last year, contributing to the early completion of the unit's budget collection task.
During the period, Can Tho Customs detected and handled 85 administrative violations with a total fine of over VND 6 billion. The entire department also conducted 20 post-clearance audit, thereby collecting VND 30 billion in the state budget.
