In 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, Cam Pha Seaport Customs Branch (under Quang Ninh Customs Department) and Cam Pha Seaport Border Guard have actively exchanged information to serve the enforcement of each force.

The two authorities have monthly coordinated to patrol the Cam Pha sea area and promptly arrested suspects illegally transporting coal and minerals.

The two forces have patrolled 16 times, with the participation of more than 100 officers.

The two forces have detected three cases and three suspects illegally transporting minerals.

On March 14, in Cam Pha City, the enforcement forces arrested one suspect trafficking 517.5 m3 of mineral construction sand without legal origin, worth more than VND93 million.

On the same day, the forces arrested a suspect trafficking 612.36 m3 of construction sand without legal origin, worth more than VND110 million.

According to the Cam Pha Seaport Border Gate Customs Branch, when the domestic petroleum products surge, smugglers take advantage of the favourable weather to buy waste and Diesel oil in small volumes from foreign ships carrying out customs procedures at Hon Net and Cam Pha ports for resale and profit.

In addition to petroleum products, due to the long sea border and large sea area, smugglers may take advantage to illegally trade and transport coal and waste products without invoices and documents.

Based on the actual situation, the two forces have coordinated and patrolled to prevent the illegal transportation of goods.
