Cai Mep Customs continues to seize hundreds of smuggled air conditioners

Cai Mep port Customs Branch also collaborates with C74 – Ministry of Public Security and Border Station of Cai Mep port.
This shipment was in name of May Phuc An Woodwork Service Trading Company Limited (82, Hamlet 1, Tan Khai Village, Hon Quan Town, Binh Phuoc Province) to import in form of port transhipment and arrival port was in Binh Duong.
However, after the shipment arrived at Cai Mep over 1 month, the owner did not come to do the procedure so the leader of Cai Mep port Customs Branch issued a decision to inspect the shipment.

As a result, all goods inside the container were hundreds of used air conditioners that were in the list of prohibited import.
Earlier, on 17/5, Cai Mep port Customs Branch inspected and discovered hundreds of used air conditioners and refrigerators that imported by Phuong Nam Import - Export Trading Service Company Limited ( No. 92, Team 3, Village 4, Dong Tien Commune, Dong Phu District, Binh Phuoc Province) in the owner's name.
According to leaders of Cai Mep port Customs Branch, only from the beginning of 2017 until now, the Branch has checked and seized 10 containers of illegally imported goods, used electronics and refrigerated product - in the list of prohibited imports. These shipments were imported in the form of port transhipment and transit goods.
