Being prosecuted, an enterprise still continue to import 3 containers of prohibited goods

Used air conditioners were imported by Phu Loc Thinh company.

After 2 days for inspection, on 20/10, Cai Mep port Customs Branch (Ba Ria-Vung Tau Customs Department) and other force completed the inspection for 3 containers of prohibited goods.

The primary result showed that all the goods inside 3 containers were used air conditioners which were nearly 1,200 pairs. Furthermore, there were some used cabinet loudspeakers and fans. Currently, all the shipments are verifying for clarifying the type and specific quantity.

According to the Cai Mep port Customs Branch, this shipment was imported by Phu Loc Thinh trading service import-export company limited (01/5A27, Binh Dang residential district, Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An town, Binh Duong). However, in 8/2017, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Customs Department had prosecuted a criminal case involving "smuggling" related to Phuc Loc Thinh Trading Import Export Co., Ltd due to importing 1 prohibited container and seized by Customs Department of Cai Mep port border gate detects and arrests.

The dossier has been transferred to Police investigation agency, Ba Ria - Vung Tau police to handle the investigation according to their competence.

As Customs News has published, on 19/10, at Cai Mep port - Vung Tau, Cai Mep port Customs Branch coordinated with the competent forces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Customs Department, Risk Management Department - General Department of Vietnam Customs, C74- Ministry of Public Security; PC 46 - Ba Ria-Vung Tau Police ... to conduct physical inspection for 3 containers. As a result, all the goods inside those containers were used air-conditioners which are under the list of prohibited goods.

Each container contained 400 pair of air conditioners
