An Giang Customs seizes hundreds of smuggled used air conditioners

Used air conditioners were transported on motorboat.

At 1:00 AM on May 18, the Customs Enforcement Team – An Giang Customs Department worked with PC03 - An Giang Police Department, Team 4- An Giang Market Management Department to seize 337 units of used air conditioning condensers and air conditioners.

The prohibited goods were transported by motorboat with the load of 25 tonnes from Cambodia to Vietnam. It was discovered and seized by the working group in the Hau River area (Ha Bao 2 hamlet, Da Phuoc commune, An Phu district, An Giang).

Earlier, on the morning on May 17, at the confluence of the Chau Doc - An Giang rivers, the working group also discovered and seized a motorboat carrying more than 30 tonnes of used electrical refrigeration smuggled from Cambodia to Vietnam.
