81% of enterprises optimistic about business production in fourth quarter

The General Statistics Office of Vietnam has just announced the survey results of quarterly production and business trends of processing and manufacturing industries. Up to 6,500 enterprises wereselected for the survey, representing the entire processing and manufacturing industries, and the total number of enterprises that responded in the survey of the third quarter of 2020 reached nearly 90%.

According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, 68.1% of the processing and manufacturing enterprises assessed that business production activities in the third quarter of 2020 arebetter and stable compared to the second quarter of 2020, and 31.9% of enterprises said that production and business is more difficult.

In which, the FDI sectorhadthe highest rate of enterprises forecasting better and remaining stable at 70.9%. At the same rate, the non-state owned sector is 67.3%; the state-owned enterprise sector is 63.3%.

Along with experience from coping with the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government has provided and applied solutions and policies to support enterprises, individual business households and people to recover after the pandemic, and gradually restore the economy.

As a result, the production and business situation in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter was more optimistic, when 81% of enterprises forecasted better and kept stable, 19% forecasted more difficulties.

FDI enterprises has the highest rate of enterprises forecasting better and remaining stable in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter at 82.8%; the state-owned enterprise sector at 81.7% and the non-state owned sector at 80.2%.
