3.9 million dossiers are processed via National Single Window

VCN – The implementation of National Single Window (NSW) and ASEAN Single Window (ASW) continue to achieve positive results.

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs – permanent agency of National Steering Committee on ASW, NSW and trade facilitation, from the start of the year to the middle of June, there were 19 new administrative procedures implemented through the NSW with 319,272 processed records of 3,886 enterprises.

From the implementation to June 15, there were 226 administrative procedures of 13 ministries and sectors implemented on National Single Window, with approximately 3.89 million records of 47,700 firms.

Regarding the implementation of the ASEAN Single Window, in June, Vietnam exchanged information about the electronic certificate of origin form D (e-C/O form D) with all nine ASEAN member countries.

From January 1 to June 15, the number of C/O Vietnam received from ASEAN countries is 107,152 papers, while the number of C/O sent by Vietnam to other countries is 622,987.

Until June 15, the total number of C/Os Vietnam has received from ASEAN countries is 366,458 papers, the total number of C/Os Vietnam has sent to other countries is 939,460 papers.

Currently, the Permanent Agency is working with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to prepare technical conditions to exchange information on ASEAN customs declarations and phytosanitary certificates with Indonesia and Thailand. At the same time, Vietnam is also preparing a message for testing and checking the connection.

According to ASEAN's plan, the two documents mentioned above will be officially connected and exchanged in 2021.

In addition to connecting with partners in ASEAN, the General Department of Vietnam Customs advises the National Steering Committee to connect with non-ASEAN partners such as the Eurasian Economic Union, South Korea, and New Zealand.

Up to now, the testing of the connection technique and message for the exchange of export customs declarations has been completed with the Eurasian Economic Union.

In addition, the General Department of Vietnam Customs worked with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to negotiate and agree on technical requirements to build a system of exchanging C/O with the Eurasian Economic Union and exchanging information of C/O with South Korea.
