105 customs brokers have operation terminated

The General Department of Vietnam Customs terminated the operation of customs brokers and revoked all employees’ codes that were granted for 105 customs brokers under the management of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs terminated operation and revoked employees’ codes due to the expiry of six months from the date of operation, customs brokers did not improve and did not request documents for continuing operation and sending to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
The termination of operation and revocation of employees’ codes should comply with Item a.4, Point a, Clause 2, Article 7 of Circular 12/2015/TT-BTC dated January 30, 2015 amending and supplementing in Clause 5, Article 1 of Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC the of Ministry of Finance dated April 16, 2019 and revoke employees’ codes of customs broker as prescribed in Point đ, Article 10 of the Circular 12/2015/TT-BTC dated January 30, 2015, amending and supplementing in Clause 7 Article 1 of Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance.
The decision will be valid from June 12 and abolished decisions of the Director General of Vietnam Customs on the recognition of customs broker operation for the companies.
Previously, on June 8, the General Department of Vietnam Customs issued Decision 1528/QD-TCHQ on the termination of the operation of customs brokers and revoked all employees’ codes of customs brokers that were granted for 32 customs brokers under the management of Hai Phong Customs Department.
The suspension and termination of customs brokers’ operation aims to ensure that the operations of customs brokers should comply with the requirements and standards of quality as prescribed by law.
