Thirty-five containers of imported electronic products and motorbikes are “forgotten” at seaport

According to the Southern Anti-smuggling Enforcement Unit (Unit 3) – Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department – General Department of Vietnam Customs, this unit is investigating and verifying the transshipment of consignments containing inside 35 containers which arrived at HCM City port over many years. However, the owners have not come to implement procedures yet so goods are still at the seaport.
Through initial inspection, the Customs authority identified goods inside the containers include used electronic products, refrigeration products, household goods and motorbikes
Currently, Unit 3 is implementing procedures to find the owner of 35 containers as mentioned above in order to process them in accordance with regulations.
