Tax sector strives to complete plan on implementation of e-invoices nationwide

According to the General Department of Taxation, after implementing e-invoices in the first phase, the country’s top tax authority issued Decision 273/QD-TCT on applying e-invoices in 57 provinces and cities.
The local tax departments have fulfilled preparations such as advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision to establish a steering committee, a working group to implement the e-invoices; establishing an operation center and supporting taxpayers via hotlines and instructing the application of e-invoices for taxpayers to understand and agree on in the implementation process.
In order to successfully execute the second phase of e-invoice application in 57 provinces and cities, the General Department of Taxation launched an emulation movement to complete the plan, aiming to accomplish tasks assigned in Decision 205/QD-BTC and Decision 273/QD-TCT; strived to cover 100% of cities, economic organizations, business households, and business individuals using the e-invoices under Decree 123/2020/ND- CP.
The emulation movement will take place from now until the end of June 30, the emulation focuses on the effective implementation of 13 tasks for the General Department of Taxation and 15 tasks for the local Tax Department assigned in Decision 273/QD-TCT.
The General Department of Taxation requests tax departments, units and local departments to follow the plan in Decision 273/QD-TCT, and effectively implement the plan in accordance with the schedule, to attach the performance to the emulation to encourage the spirit of officers, to strive to complete tasks, and report problems affecting the implementation of e-invoice for handling.
The General Department of Taxation encourages tax officers to enhance the spirit of emulation and solidarity to accomplish the e-invoice application to ensure the quality and on schedule, contributing to changing the habits of people and businesses as directed by the Prime Minister at the launching ceremony of e-invoices on April 21, 2022.
