Tan Thanh Customs seize 24 abandoned packages

At 1:00PM on 8/12, the working group conducted a patrol to control the management area. When the competent force come to the area near counter No.20 in level 1 of Viet Trung Trade Center, they detected 24 suspected carton barrels that had been abandoned.

There, the working group counted the above barrels and discovered inside they contained air pumps with metal bearing bases which could be stretched and shortened, long metal filters, and pump nozzles made from rubber and steel used for pneumatic pumps.

Specifically, there were 110 pumps with lengths of 60 cm (± 2 cm), (using hand force to pump, with meter); 50 metal bearing bases; 150 metal air filters with lengths of 11.5 cm (blue and yellow colors) and 100 pump nozzles that are used for pneumatic pumps with the length of 52 cm (± 2 cm). Those were brand new 100% and made in China.

Talking to the reporter, Mr. Doan Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of Tan Thanh Customs Branch, said the unit had issued an announcement for seeking the owner of the goods. If it is over 30 days from the date of issuance and no one comes to pick up, Tan Thanh Customs Department will handle the goods in accordance with regulations.
