Ship seized illegally transporting 200,000 liters of DO oil

VCN – The Command of Vietnam Coast Guard said, reconnaissance No.1 inspected and seized a ship illegally transporting 200,000 liters of DO oil.

At 5:15 AM on 3rd April, in the Bach Long Vy sea area – Hai Phong City, the crew of reconnaissance No.1 detected and inspected a ship with the license plated NĐ-95222 that had suspicious signs of illegally transporting oil.

The inspection discovered 4 crew members on board. The captain was Mr. Nguyen Anh Tam, residing in Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province.

At the time of inspection, about 200,000 liters of DO oil were on the ship, but there were many discrepancies in the receipts and vouchers, and no documents certifying the origin of goods. Among the 4 crew members, there is one who does not have a professional certificate.

The crew of Reconnaissance No.1 escorted the ship and goods to the port of Bach Long Vy - Hai Phong in coordination with competent authorities to carry out further investigatations.
