Seized illegal shipment of about 8 billion VND in Moc Bai border gate

This is the transit shipment of XITLO logistics Co., Ltd, District 3, HCMC. The shipment has Customs declaration No. 500070700330 dated 14/1/2017, container No. OOLU 1937805, registered at Cai Mep port Customs Branch and transited to Moc Bai border gate - Tay Ninh.

According to the declaration of the enterprise, the cargo is goods used for consumer purposes including: kitchen, kitchen carpet flooring, new 100%. Time to start shipping from Cai Mep was on 01/14/2017 (BOA), expected time to arrive in Moc Bai border gate was 15/1/2017. However, actually, on 17/01/2017, Mr. Le Phuong Minh, a representative of the company brought goods to the inspection area in order to do Customs procedures at Moc Bai border gate.

When Moc Bai Customs officers did procedures for this shipment, Mr. Minh was not present at the office and left the shipment. Besides that, the condition of goods before inspection showed signs of chiseling seal of carrier and fake Customs seal.

Accordingly, dated 8/2/2017, the Customs forces have conducted physical inspection. As a results, customs identified the goods in container including perfumes, wines, cigars, all kinds of milk powder, tablets, laptops (old, new types), amplifiers, Iphone 6 plus, iPhone 7 plus and mobile phone accessories (over 500 pieces) ... Total value of goods in this illegal shipment is around 8 billion VND.
