Seize a case of transporting illegally 210 bottles of foreign wine Chivas Royal Salute and Beluga Export

Chivas Royal Salute 21 was seized by competent force in the morning of 2/10

On 2/10, Special Reconnaissance Team, Training-Mobility Battalion; The Special Force on Anti-drug and Criminal Prevention and Division of Anti-drug and Criminal Prevention (Quang Binh Border Defense Force) chaired and coordinated with Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department (the General Department of Vietnam Customs); Anti-Drug Enforcement Unit (Quang Tri Customs Department); Dak Rong Traffic police station and Huong Hoa district police (Quang Tri); Unit 3, Special Force of the Central region, Department of Anti-drug and Criminal Prevention (Command of Border Defense force) organized patrol and control of border area of Huong Hoa district (Quang Tri).

Means of transport was held in custody for inspection.

In the area of Km73 + 300 under Tan Long commune, Huong Hoa district, competent forces discovered a Toyota 4-door car (license plate No.74A-03882) traveling on the route from Lao Bao border gate (Huong Hoa district) to Dong Ha city (Quang Tri) with suspicious signs of transporting goods illegally.

The competent forces signaled the driver to stop the car for inspection. However, the driver did not comply and drove away.

Chasing to the area of Km74 + 200, the competent force stopped the vehicle and conducted an inspection.

Bottle of Beluga Export.

At the inspection time, 150 bottles of Beluga Export originating from Russia, and 60 bottles of Chivas Royal Salute originating from Scotland, were in the car. The total value was about 190 million VND. All the wines did not have valid documents.

The competent force has made a written record of violation for further handling in accordance with regulations.

Earlier, on 22/9, the competent forces of Customs sector and Border Patrol units also detected and arrested a car transporting 480 bottles of Macallan Scotch Whisky. In that, there were 420 bottles of 700ml and 60 bottles of 1,000ml. The total value was estimated at about 480 million VND.
