Accordingly, the General Department of Customs said that through monitoring and review of the management of containers of scrap stuck at seaports nationwide, currently, a number of shipping lines and shipping lines' agents have sent written requests to the customs office for re-export of containers of scrap which are not eligible for import into Vietnam and currently stuck at seaports.
The General Department of Customs requests the provincial and municipal customs departments to make a list of containers, seal numbers and a list of shipping lines and shipping lines' agents proposed for re-export and report to the General Department of Customs to review the list of containers of scrap which do not meet the import conditions into Vietnam and set up management criteria.
After reviewing and setting up management criteria, the General Department of Customs will issue documents to guide the provincial and municipal customs departments to supervise the re-export of these containers out of Vietnam's territory.

According to the General Department of Customs, review and listing of containers and establishment of management criteria for re-export must comply with the provisions of law.
