The municipal Customs department has set up a working group and closely coordinated with departments under the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) to implement and handle problems and report the GDVC to continue upgrades and complete the system.

In addition, the department has actively researched the smart customs model and completed operational work. The GDVC has highly appreciated the department’s research results and proposal.

About 9,600 shipments have been controlled and supervised via the automated system on average per day, hitting 99%. The customs clearance time is reduced from 3-6 hours to 10 minutes, thereby saving costs for businesses and improving the efficiency of customs authority.
