Accordingly, communicating to raise awareness and enhance digital skills for Customs officers and employees at all levels widely, through many different channels. In particular, it will focus on electronic portals of the Customs sector and Customs News e-version.
Furthermore, it encourages interaction between Customs officers and people and businesses using digital technology (mobile devices, social networks, and other non-traditional information channels).
Promoting dissemination to people and businesses using the IT system of the General Department of Vietnam Customs through mass media, email, and online mobile applications to users.
The head of each unit is directly responsible for the quality of linking the task of IT application with the goal of digital transformation, cultural reform, working methods and relationships from the traditional environment to a safe and positive environment.
As reported, on May 4, 2022, the Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can signed Decision No. 707/QD-TCHQ approving the Customs digital transformation plan by 2025, with an orientation to 2030.
The goal set by the Customs sector is to promote digital transformation in customs operations in a comprehensive and synchronous manner with digital transformation serving import-export businesses and ministries and sectors in the implementation of the National Single Window and the ASEAN Single Window in order to fulfill the goal of 100% of customs procedures being carried out entirely online.
Striving to 2025, completing Digital Customs, in which comprehensive digital transformation in the state management of custom with a high degree of integration, open IT system, and conformity to international standards, comprehensively meeting the needs of automated handling of all stages of customs operations from the beginning to the end, carrying out customs procedures anytime - anywhere - and needs of exploiting information, using the information on the basis of applying the latest technological achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Accomplishing the goals stated in the Decision No. 749/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated June 3, 2020 on the approval of the "National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with orientation to 2030" related to the functions and duties of the Customs sector.
