On August 23, at Chieng Nua village, Si Pa Phin commune, Nam Po district, Dien Bien province, the working team of the Investigation Police Division on Drug-related Crimes of Dien Bien Police, Drug and Crime Prevention Division, Dien Bien Border Guard, Dien Bien Customs Department and Si Pan Border Guard Station detected a woman ona trail alongthe border to the inland with suspicious signs.

Inspecting the site, the competent forces detected that the suspect carried four heroin packages, weighing 1.5kg, one mobile phone, nearly VND700 and 133,000 Lao kip.

At the investigation authority, the suspect claimed to beLo ThiUoi, born in 1970 (residing in Huoi La village, Na Lam Commune, Muong Mai district, Phong Sa Ly province, Laos).

Earlier, Uoi was hired by a man in Laos to transport the drugs tothe border gate and deliver them to a Vietnamese man.

However, after entering Vietnam, Uoi went to ​​Chieng Nua village, Si Pa Phin commune, Nam Po district under the management of Si Pa Phin Border Guard Station, and was arrested by the competent forces.

Currently, the case isbeing investigated by the competent forces.
