According to Quang Tri Customs Department, at 8:24 a.m, Customs officers of Lao Bao Border Gate Customs Department (Quang Tri Customs Department) processed re-import procedures for vehicle with Licence Plate Number 75B-01174 from Laos to Vietnam.

During scanning the luggage, the Customs officers realized that the two loudspeakers in the vehicle have suspicious signs.

Then, Lao Bao Customs Branch used a sniffer dog for identification. The sniffer dog detected drugs in those loudspeakers.

According to information from the Customs force, a Lao person hired the vehicle owner to transport the two loudspeakers to Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City). Notably, the competent force has not yet identified the owner of these suspicious drugs.

In order not to allow the perpetrator to vacate, Lao Bao Customs Branch coordinated with the Anti- Drug Enforcement Team (Quang Tri Customs Department) and Border Guard Station of Lao Bao International Border Gate arrested the perpetrator.

Secretly, the forces assigned the Border Guard Station of Lao Bao International Border Gate to coordinate with the Anti- Drug Enforcement Team and competent forces to arrest the perpetrators when taking delivery of goods inland.
