Imports of CBU cars continue soaring

VCN – According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the number of imported CBU cars continued to grow in the first half of March 2022.

Specifically, in the first half of March (from March 1 to March 15), the whole country imported 6,452 units of CBU cars of all kinds with a total turnover of US$146.53 million.

In particular, the majority were cars of 9 seats or less with 5,433 units with a turnover of US$105 million.

Thus, after the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday, the imports of CBU cars continued to recover strongly.

In the first 15 days of March, the volume of imported CBU cars is equivalent to more than 70% of the total number of vehicles in February, even more than in January 2022 to nearly 43%.

In general, from the beginning of the year to March 15, the whole country imported more than 20,100 units of CBU cars of all kinds, with a turnover of US$485 million.

Thailand, Indonesia and China share the top three spots in terms of CBU imports of Vietnam.

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, by the end of February 2022, Thailand was 7,283 units, with a turnover of more than US$147 million; Indonesia was 3,087 units, turnover of US$43.56 million; China was 1,612 units, with a turnover of nearly US$58 million.
